Documentation/Flows & Filtering

Flows

Creating, configuring, launching, and maintaining traffic flows.

What Is a Flow

A flow is a set of settings that ArtisanClo uses to process clicks. Inside a flow you define destinations, filters, operating mode, integration link or file, as well as logging and analysis rules.

Main Fields

FieldDescription
NameA clear name for search and reporting.
StatusAn enabled flow accepts clicks; a disabled one should not receive live traffic.
Primary DestinationWhere the visitor goes if they pass the check.
Fallback DestinationWhere the visitor goes if they fail the check.
Processing ModeDefines how strictly to apply rules and how to return the decision.

Life Cycle

  1. 1

    Create a flow.

  2. 2

    Add destinations.

  3. 3

    Configure filters.

  4. 4

    Save and test.

  5. 5

Connect to your site or campaign.

  6. 6

    Observe the first clicks.

  7. 7

    Adjust rules based on statistics.

Naming Recommendations

  • Use the project name, country, and source.
  • Don’t name all flows identically, otherwise reports become messy.
  • For test flows, add a 'test' or 'draft' label.
  • After a campaign ends, disable the flow rather than deleting it immediately to preserve history.
Test Before Launch

After any significant change, run a test click and verify the click log. This is faster than troubleshooting after your ads go live.
