Traffic
Platform recipes
Ready-made settings for the most common sources. The platform is recognized two ways: by the traffic source chosen in step 1 (it tunes protection to the platform, see Check strictness), and by the click id in the link — fbclid, gclid, ttclid, msclkid, twclid and others. One campaign — one flow: that way decision reasons and reports belong to one ad.
| Platform | Connection | Offer | White Page | Protection |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Search, GDN, YouTube | PHP file or JS tag | “Loading”: the address bar keeps the address from the ad | “Loading” or our ready-made page, no redirect | Source Google Ads: JS required, warm-up of 30 clicks, 2 clicks per IP a day. The shield lets through gclid, wbraid, gbraid, gad_source. |
| Facebook, Instagram | PHP file or JS tag | “Loading” or “Redirect” | “Loading” or our ready-made page | Source Facebook Ads: warm-up of 50 clicks, referrer check off — the Facebook in-app browser often drops it. The shield lets through fbclid. |
| TikTok | PHP file or JS tag | “Loading” | “Loading” or our ready-made page | Source TikTok Ads: blocking by ISP off, warm-up of 50 clicks. The shield lets through ttclid. |
| Microsoft Ads (Bing) | PHP file or JS tag | “Loading” | “Loading” or our ready-made page | Source “Another source”: standard checks. The msclkid click id is recognized, and the shield lets it through. |
| X (Twitter) | PHP file or JS tag | “Loading” or “Redirect” | “Loading” or our ready-made page | Source “Another source”. The shield lets through twclid. |
| Taboola, Outbrain, MGID and other native | PHP file | “Redirect” or “Loading” | “Loading” or our ready-made page | Source “Native and push”: 5 clicks per IP a day and a warm-up of 100 clicks — native has many repeat impressions. The shield lets through tblci (Taboola), ob_click_id (Outbrain). MGID has no click id of its own, so the shield does not suit it. |
| An app asks what to show (SDK, store placeholder) | The flow link with /a at the end, or the PHP file with ?ac_app=1 | “Redirect”; for Google Play — market://details?id=… | any — the app never shows it | The answer is a status code, as with Adspect: 200 and the offer address as one line in the body — open it; 403 — show your own placeholder. There is no check page, so the JavaScript check, time on page and live interaction are off for these requests, and the decision is made from the network and the request. The tag does not fit here: it needs a browser. |
Warm-up and the clicks-per-IP limit work Professional and above and on the trial. The clicks per IP are given for the “Balanced” strictness: “Soft” has no limit, “Strict” allows no more than 2.
Before review
- White Page for everyone while the review lasts. Turn on “Under review” Professional and above in Diagnostics (the “Ban risk” tab): every visitor sees the White Page with no filtering. Switch the mode off after approval. As an alternative, the “Paused” status also shows the White Page to everyone.
- The review is on while the campaign is already running. Raise the shield Professional and above: only visitors with an ad click id reach the offer, and reviewers without one see the White Page. Auto-shield raises it by itself when it sees signs of a review.
- Warm-up Professional and above — the flow's first N clicks go to the White Page without checks. The first visits after launch are most often reviews.
- Do not change the White Page of a running campaign: a new page gives the platform a reason to review the ad again.
In-app browsers and WebView
The in-app browsers of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and WebView inside apps are recognized. An automation marker there does not cut the visit at once: it counts in the trust score together with the network, timing and referrer, because in such browsers it is often false. For campaigns where almost all traffic comes from an in-app browser, choose the “Balanced” strictness and do not switch on blocking without a referrer.
Native ads and placements with bots
Pass the placement (zone, site) number into a campaign label, for example sub1={zoneid}, and read the “Money by slice” report by that label. Turn off placements where the filter cuts almost everything in the network itself — that way you stop paying for them.
